Meet Akemi
Growing up in a multicultural family, I understand that different people require different kinds of support. This is especially true for immigrants and migrants who face the challenges of navigating a different healthcare system, culture, and language without their familiar support networks. With me, you’ll find compasionate, non-judgmental support throughout our time together.
I also teach childbirth education classes in English, Spanish and Portuguese, serving my own clients and the community at a local center. Being a volunteer at Baltimore Doula Project since 2021 has given me the opportunity to help more people in the area. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, I aim to ensure you feel comfortable speaking your own language.
Beyond my professional life, I have a passion for music, dancing, and cooking, which is my love language. My garden, where I grow vegetables with my kids, provides me with a relaxing retreat after long workdays.
